Clarification

Students in the Bachelor of Arts in Psychology apply the scientific discipline of agreement and explaining thoughts, emotions and behavior to solving real-world problems. Topics include stress, biological influences on behavior, growth and development of children and diagnosis and treatment of psychological disorders. Elective courses may exist used to specialize in a number of areas of psychology and to proceeds hands-on experience in research labs. The concentration is designed to encompass the Pre-medicine/Pre-osteopathy requirements so that students are prepared to take the Medical College Access Test (MCAT) and have the required prerequisites necessary for applying to medical schoolhouse.

Career Opportunities

There are many career options for graduates with a bachelor'due south caste in psychology, with most employed in careers in social service and business concern settings. In business settings, psychology majors work in areas such as personnel, human resources, and marketing. Admission Requirements

General Admissions for Freshman Students: Access Requirements at the Kent Campus: The freshman admission policy at the Kent Campus is selective. Admission decisions are based upon the following: cumulative course point average, ACT and/or SAT scores, strength of high school college preparatory curriculum and form trends.

The university affirmatively strives to provide educational opportunities and admission to students with varied backgrounds, those with special talents and adult students who graduated from high school three or more years ago. General Admissions for Transfer Students: By and large, a transfer applicant who has taken 12 or more semester hours with a college cumulative GPA of at least 2.0 on a 4.0 scale may be admitted. An applicant who has taken fewer than 12 semester hours will be evaluated on both collegiate and loftier school records. Graduation Requirements

Minimum 120 full credit hours  and  42 upper-partitioning hours for graduation. Minimum 2.000 GPA overall and ii.000 GPA in major required for graduation with the B.A. degree; minimum two.000 GPA overall and ii.500 GPA in the major required for graduation with the B.South. degree.
