The 40,000 square pes Bong Cultural Events Heart is available for employ by the surrounding community as well equally the MNU campus community. This facility opened in 2007, and is used to showcase the talents of the MNU Fine and Performing Arts students and local artist and performing arts companies. To reserve tickets, payment must be received at the fourth dimension of the order. We have greenbacks, check and credit carte payments (Visa, MasterCard, Observe and American Express). Tickets can be purchased online through the events calendar, by calling the Box Function at 913.971.3636, or stopping by the Box Role Mon through Friday ane pm-5 pm.

Refunds and Exchanges

Tickets are not-refundable. Exchanges may be fabricated for tickets of equal or lesser value for events within the current season, subject to availability. Guests wishing to commutation may exercise and then either in person or by phone.

Facility Information

Lobby expanse at forepart entrance of the Bell Cultural Events Centre. Grand Lobby is for the gathering of guests before or later an effect in the Mabee Performing Arts Hall. It may too be used, on a limited basis, for dinners, receptions and/or special gatherings when these events are not in conflict with other scheduled activities.

Judge Capacity:

200 in audience type seating; 168 for reception/meal events with maximum of 21 round tables, 8 chairs per table; standing room 300 to 350.

Policies:

  1. Space must be reserved through the Bell Cultural Events Middle Facility Direction.
  2. Quantity and placement of tables, displays, decorations, and number of guests must exist approved by Bell Cultural Events Center Facility Management.
  3. All debris and other items must exist cleared from the Lobby at the stop of use or run of show.

A formal lounge expanse located off the Yard Lobby to the left of the south entrance It is home to a 1900 Packard Organ donated by Don and Faith Bong and family unit in memory of their girl and sister, Judie Faith Bong Hooven. It is likewise home to a 1877 Roisch 1000 pianoforte, donated past Murdell Weatherby Holbert in memory of her female parent, Ivy Weatherby. The Gilmore Hospitality Room is a formal social reception and executive meeting room located off the Grand Lobby in the Bong Cultural Events Center, and is intended to provide a more formal atmosphere for social receptions, select meal functions, executive meetings, and cultural events.

Approximate Chapters:

75 for a continuing reception; forty for dinner event (maximum of 5 – 5' circular tables with 8 chairs at each); 20 to 26 for meeting with briefing tables.

Public access to audio/visual equipment.

Policies:

  1. Supervised and scheduled through Bell Cultural Events Heart Facility Management
  2. MNU President's part and President's Cabinet given priority in scheduling events consistent with the room's purpose.
  3. Not intended to be used as–
    1. regular classroom space
    2. university office or departmental conference room
    3. function space (unless office of a larger Bell Cultural Events Center event)
    4. article of furniture and supply storage area
    5. The furniture in the Gilmore Room is intended for its exclusive use and should be removed/stored just with the permission of the building's Facility Management.

Primary stage theater with audience seating capacity of 541.

Stage Size:

43 ft deep past 36 ft wide (inside shell) 43 ft deep by 65 ft wide (with trounce open) 12 ft deep by 44 ft wide – downstage proscenium (with principal stage curtain closed)

Purpose:

The Mabee Performing Arts Hall is available for speaking presentations, musical concerts, theatrical performances, and rehearsals. It is not to be used for weddings, funerals, equally a movie theater, or for those events adamant to be athletic in nature.

Audio/Visual Equipment:

  7. An individual approved past the BELL Eye FACILITY Management must be designated to human action equally a house manager for all publicly invited audience events.
  8. Children under the age of 18 (with parental or authorized developed supervision) are welcome in the Mabee Performing Arts Hall.
  9. All utilize of live animals for rehearsals and performances must exist approved by the appropriate state or city arrangement governing animal rights and the Bell CENTER FACILITY Direction.
  10. Performance of copyrighted works must be in compliance with copyright law and all licensing agreements.
  11. All photography and videotaping of rehearsals and performances must be in compliance with copyright constabulary, and all licensing agreements, and approved by the appropriate division/department chair. Bell Centre FACILITY Direction must exist informed at least five [5] days in accelerate of any photography or videotaping scheduled to take place during a performance.

Big rehearsal room located to the due west of the Mabee Performing Arts Hall. Primarily to be used for the instrumental classroom and rehearsals by the Department of Fine and Performing Arts. It may exist reserved by outside Users if requested appointment is not in conflict with academic schedules. Instrumental classroom and rehearsals. In the event of a large bandage or number of participants in a musical event to be held in the Mabee Performing Arts Hall, this room may be used as a warm-upwards and/or Light-green Room. May likewise be used as a meeting room if requested and approved.

75 in orchestral set-upwardly; 160 in lecture hall set-upwards

Policies:

  1. Space–other than for academic use–must be reserved through Bong Cultural Events Centre Facility Direction.
  2. All rehearsal items must be returned to their appropriate storage locations at the terminate of employ.
  3. Food and beverages (i.e., box lunches, snacks, continental breakfast foods, coffee, bottled water) may be served within the specific confines of the Music Hall with prior blessing of Facility Direction. Large rehearsal room located to the eastward of the Mabee Performing Arts Hall. Primarily to be used for the choral classroom and rehearsals past the Fine and Performing Arts Department. It may be reserved by outside Users for recitals (song and piano) if requested appointment non in conflict with academic schedules. Choral classroom and rehearsals. Also bachelor for private pupil recitals, classes, speaking presentations and meetings.

Approximate Seating:

65 chairs on choral risers. Additional chairs may be added for a full seating capacity of approximately 120.

Policies:

  1. Space–other than for academic use–must exist reserved through Bell Cultural Events Center Facility Management.
  2. All rehearsal items must be returned to their appropriate storage locations at the end of apply.
  3.
